Potential changes & improvements:
-Try using a different cut of steak, such as flank or sirloin.
– experiment with different spice blends to find your perfect flavor combination.
-If you don’t have access to a grill, you can cook the steak in a heavy duty frying pan over high heat.
Works Well With…
-Carne asada is often served with tortillas and salsa, making it a perfect meal for taco night.
-Try serving it over a bed of rice or quinoa for a complete and balanced meal.
-Leftovers make a great addition to salads or wraps for lunch the next day.
Common Mistakes:
-Not slicing the steak against the grain. This will result in tough, chewy steak.
-Not letting the steak rest before slicing. This will cause all the juices to run out, making the steak dry.
-Overcooking the steak. This will make the steak tough and difficult to chew.
