Chicken Parmesan Meatballs

Ingredients

1 lb. ground chicken

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/3 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs

1 egg

1/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup tomato sauce

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

3. In another bowl, combine bread crumbs, egg, and milk. Mix well.

4. Add bread crumb mixture to chicken mixture. Mix well.

5. Shape into 1-inch balls.

6. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil.

7. Add chicken balls. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until browned, turning occasionally.

8. In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat tomato sauce.

9. Add chicken balls. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until heated through.

10. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.

-Try using ground turkey or pork instead of chicken.
-Add some chopped onion or green bell pepper to the meatball mixture.
-Try a different type of cheese in the meatballs, such as cheddar or Swiss.
