Hot Spiced Cider
Ingredients
1 litre (4 cups) of apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
1 teaspoon allspice berries
10 cloves
1 orange, zested and juiced
2 tablespoons honey
Method
1. Pour the apple cider into a saucepan.
2. Add the cinnamon sticks, star anise, allspice berries, cloves, orange zest and juice, and honey.
3. Bring to a simmer over low heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Serve in mugs or cups, with or without the spices.

– For a less sweet cider, use less honey or add a splash of lemon juice.
