Potential changes & improvements:

There are many ways that this recipe can be changed or improved. For a more flavorful dip, try adding some additional seasonings such as onion powder, garlic powder, or red pepper flakes. You could also add in some chopped mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, or Olives. If you want a creamier dip, try using full-fat sour cream and mayonnaise. For a healthier version, use low-fat or non-fat dairy products.

Works Well With…

This spinach and artichoke dip goes well with a variety of foods. Try serving it with crackers, bread, chips, or vegetables. It also makes a great topping for baked potatoes or grilled chicken.

Common Mistakes:

One common mistake when making this dip is to not drain the spinach and artichoke hearts properly. Be sure to squeeze all of the excess moisture out of the spinach before adding it to the mixture. Otherwise, your dip will be watery and runny. Another mistake is to not season the dip properly. Be sure to add enough salt and pepper to taste. You can always add more, but you can’t take it away!
