Vegetable Crudites with Truffle Soil


Introduction

This dish is a great way to show off your culinary skills and impress your guests. It is simple to make but looks impressive and tastes even better. The truffle soil gives the vegetables a beautiful earthy flavor and the dipping sauce is the perfect finishing touch.

Ingredients

For the vegetables:

1 carrot, peeled and cut into sticks

1 celery stalk, cut into sticks

For the soil:

1 cup (100g) dried mushrooms

1 cup (100g) walnuts

1/2 cup (50g) hazelnuts

1/4 cup (25g) almonds

1/4 cup (25g) pistachios

1 tbsp (15g) truffle oil

1 tsp (5g) salt

For the dipping sauce:

1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise

1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice

1/4 tsp (1g) salt

1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

2. To make the soil, add all of the ingredients to a food processor and pulse until everything is finely chopped.

3. Spread the soil out onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

4. Remove from the oven and let cool.

5. To make the dipping sauce, simply mix all of the ingredients together.

6. Serve the vegetables with the truffle soil and dipping sauce.

-If you want a more intense truffle flavor, you can add more truffle oil to the soil.
-The soil can also be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container.
-Try using different vegetables such as zucchini, broccoli, or cauliflower.
