Peanut Butter Brownies


These peanut butter brownies are fudgy, chocolatey and full of peanut butter flavour. They’re easy to make and can be ready in just over half an hour.

Ingredients

  • 115g butter
  • 115g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2 eggs
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 85g self-raising flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 100g peanut butter

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
  2. Grease and line a 20cm/8in square tin with baking parchment.
  3. Put the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from the heat and leave to cool for a few minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  6. Stir in the melted chocolate and butter mixture until well combined.
  7. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and stir until well combined.
  8. Stir in the peanut butter until well combined.
  9. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and spread evenly.
  10. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  11. Leave to cool in the tin before cutting into squares.
