Ingredients:
-1 cup (250ml) soy sauce
-1 cup (250ml) water
-1/2 cup (120g) brown sugar
-1/4 cup (60ml) rice vinegar
-3 cloves garlic, minced
-1 teaspoon (5ml) sesame oil
-1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) ground ginger

Method:
1. In a saucepan, combine all of the ingredients and stir over a medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.

This sauce can be served with a variety of dishes, such as stir-fries, noodles, rice, and dumplings. It can also be used as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or as a flavourful addition to marinades.

If you want a thinner sauce, simply add more water. For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of chili flakes or ground chili pepper. You could also add a dash of fish sauce for an extra depth of flavour.

When storing this sauce, make sure it is in a sealed container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
