Ptichye Moloko (Bird’s Milk Cake)
Ingredients:
1 litre milk
250g sugar
100g flour
50g butter
6 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
2. In a large saucepan, heat the milk and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.
3. whisk in the flour and butter until combined.
4. whisk in the egg yolks and vanilla extract.
5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
6. Allow to cool before serving.
Potential changes & improvements:
-Add fruit to the cake for extra flavour
-Try using different extracts, such as almond or lemon

-Not whisking the mixture enough can result in a lumpy cake
