Sautéed Mushrooms with Garlic and Thyme
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound mushrooms, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Method
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and browned, about 10 minutes.
Potential changes & improvements
If you want a bit more of a flavor, you could add a splash of white wine or sherry to the pan when you add the mushrooms. You could also swap out the thyme for another herb, like rosemary or oregano.
