These cauliflower wings are the perfect vegan alternative to traditional buffalo wings. They are crispy, flavourful and perfect for dipping!
Ingredients
- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 cup of hot sauce
- 1/4 cup of vegan butter
Method
- Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Add the cauliflower florets and toss to coat.
- Spread the cauliflower onto a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, melt the vegan butter and hot sauce together.
- When the cauliflower is done, remove from the oven and toss with the hot sauce mixture.
- Serve immediately with your favourite dipping sauce.
Potential changes & improvements
If you want a bit more of a kick, you can add more hot sauce to the mixture. For a milder version, use less hot sauce or substitute with BBQ sauce. You could also add some chopped celery and blue cheese dressing for a traditional buffalo wing experience.
